Help! I'm really scared! Gun threat @ my high school!?

All my friends got calls tonight that we have a gun threat! Someone wrote it on the sidewalk, bathroom, and office note. We don't know who. there are police at our school! It's a really nice, safe, and new school and it's never happened before! I don't want to go to school but my mom wants me to and my friends are going. Everyone thinks it's a joke but I have a feeling it's not. I have really strong feelings about stuff. What do you call it, premonition? I think it's women's intuition. I can't sleep. good luck and God bless! Pray for me!

I understand you're scared, I'm a teacher and I even get nervous with threats like that. However, many students think it's funny to play pranks like this, and often do it to make the school shut down so they won't have class.

If the police are already involved, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. As teachers, we are trained on exactly what to do and how to handle any gun sitation that might come up. Not only are your teacher's trained, they are aware of a possible situation and are on high alert for anything suspicious in the next few days.

You should be safe at school. I know you are scared and having premonitions, but it could just be an after-effect of the anxiety. I think it's best for you to keep praying and just make sure you stay alert and aware at school. If you hear something strange or see something strange and you are just too scared to be there, call you parents and have them come get you. At least you tried to go.

I do think you will be fine though. It sounds like someone either wanted attention or wanted some more summer vacation. The cops and teachers aren't dumb, they probably already know who did it, even if they aren't telling you. They will be watching this person like a hawk.
