Starting load for a Numerich arms .58 caliber under hammer ?

I got the bullet mold for it and its like a 500 grain conical. The gunsmith said that the mold was made for the gun.I just want to know where I should start with the black powder. I was thinking around 80 grains and working up from there.It has a 35 inch barrel and it really heavy.I want a load that will give me excellent accuracy and optimal knock down power.If you e-mail me I'll send pictures. I'd say 80grs of 2f would be a medium/heavy load. It definantly would be a safe load in your rifle presuming it's in good condition. If I remember correctly the load in a Civil War musket in .58 cal was 70grs. That's what I shoot in my Zouave and it works fine. Only way to tell in your rifle is to do some testing.
