Should I cut all ties with my toxic friend or attempt to fix it?

We've been friends since the fifth grade. Now all we do is bump heads.. I'm a vegan..she offers fish, I'm trying to lose weight..she suggests restaurants for hanging out. She blew me off last minute for our gym date. She admitted a few days ago shes envious of my lifestyle, I just brushed it off and hoped she meant a "happy" jealous. So this morning I receive a text about seeing a movie and it said " hey do you wanna go see x movie I can't find anyone to go" that kind of hurt, it's like I'm the back up friend.

I would have to agree that it does sound like she's using you as a back up friend.And no one deserves to be treated like that.If she was any kind of friend she would respect you more and treat you way better than it sounds like she is.It sounds like she may be using you for something.I don't know the details of your friendship or see the way she acts.If i were you I would definitely cut ties and try to start making some new friends.It seems like she's only there and only wants to spend time with you when it's convenient for her.No good can come of that relationship and it's very unhealthy.
